A domestic hook (tope), probably from Goodenough Bay on the northeast coast of Papua New Guinea. These hooks were used to suspend bags containing food, thus keeping the food away from children, dogs and rodents. The hook was collected in1907 by Reverend Money on behalf of the Museum's trustees.
